Guy,

As the heading goes, looking for a 1800 16V Ecotec head (complete) and preferably in best condition available as the motor is going to to turbocharged.

PM me should you have something for me.

Thanks

You looking the big block or small block head?

To fit your current block? If so the z18xe and x18xe1 small block heads won't fit on your block as the breather is internal where as your block has the breather externally.

Then you either have to find a daewoo head with the larger 30mm inlet valves and 26mm exhaust valve or have to go 1.6 16v ecotec head with the 28mm inlet and 25mm exhaust valves.

At the moment I'm running a 1500 16V Daewoo Lanos 16V head. I've had a problem where there is a missfire at 5500RPM which I cannot find the reason to. I have changed intake, branch, wastegate, dump valve, fuel pump, crank sensor and trigger, coil pack, plug leads, spark plugs, fuel pressure regulator, dicktator boxes, wiring and tuning. My last resort is either valve springs or just simply change the head. The missfire is gone at 0.7 bar but from 0.8 its there and gets worse with more boost. The power also does not really increase as it should with added boost cause even on 1.4 bar there is a gain of 30KW from 0.8 bar. I really need help....LOL.

Well can be that the valves are being forced open from the boost. Maybe strip the head off just to check if there isn't a valve that's not seated properly? Thinking if the springs can't keep the valves closed enough?

Why don't you just get a uprated spring kit for your head, going to be cheaper than head replacemant, or go 8v. :D
